FAQS

How long does it take to complete this course?

The career component of this course takes an estimate of 120 hours to complete; however, the hours for the High School Diploma general education can vary based on the number of high school credits you have prior to enrollment. All of our courses are self-paced and open enrollment, so you can start them when you want and finish them at your own pace. Upon registering, you are given eighteen months to complete this course.

What if I don't have enough time to complete my course within the time frame provided?

The time allotted for course completion has been calculated based on the number of course hours. However, if you are unable to complete the course, contact your Student Advisor to help you work out a suitable completion date. Please note that an extension fee may be charged.

This course is non-credit, so it does not qualify for federal aid, FAFSA and Pell Grant. What if I need help with my coursework?

Your Academic Coach will connect you with one of our certified instructors to provide you with additional academic support, when needed.

What is the career portfolio?

To arm you with the tools you need to find a job, we will teach you to create essential documents, such as your resume and a cover letter.

Why shouldn't I just get my GED?

A GED or General Equivalency Diploma requires you to pay for an exam. Preparing for the exam does not always provide you with the learning opportunities you could benefit from completing coursework. Additionally, this course gives you the benefit of also earning a career certificate. We encourage you to make the decision that is right for you so research all of your options so that you can make an informed decision. Also, ask friends, family and employers what their opinion is!
