This program is not Mac compatible. It can only be taken on a PC. It is compatible with the Windows 7 and later operating systems and IE 7 and later browsers. There are no specific computer requirements other than an Internet connection, e-mail account, and Windows Media Player (which is available as a free download). We recommend that you use the latest version of Internet Explorer in place of other Web browsers.
You either need to purchase Microsoft Project 2016 before enrolling in this program or you must already have it installed on your computer.
You can’t use Microsoft Project 2013 or any previously released versions of the Microsoft Project software for this program. This is a hands-on course that calls out specific keystroke commands which may change or be unavailable in earlier versions. Future software (2016+) includes additional functions, features and menu options. Additional compatibility challenges may exist with using the provided practice files.
You can use Microsoft Project 2016 Standard for this program; however, the program will also cover some features/ functions that are only available in the Professional edition. The main difference is that you won’t be able to do the hands-on exercises associated with the more advanced functions.

Students should have a minimum of two years’ project management experience or taken the “Project Management Essentials” prior to enrolling in this program.

She is a Project Management Professional (PMP) and very active in the project management community. She has worked in a variety of industries, including Information Technology, Insurance, Manufacturing, Marketing, Aerospace, Construction, and Telecommunications. She has worked with Microsoft Project for over 10 years.
1. Can I register for programs if I am an international student?
Yes, because ed2go programs are online you never have to actually travel to the school. Most schools offer telephone or online registration.
2. How long does it take to complete a program?
All of our programs are self-paced and open enrollment, so you can start them when you want and finish them at your own pace. When you register, you receive six (6) months to complete this program.
3. What if I don't have enough time to complete my program within the time frame provided?
The time allotted to complete your program has been calculated based on the number of hours for each program, so don't worry too much about not completing in time. If, after a concerted effort, you are still unable to complete, your Student Advisor will help you work out a suitable completion date. Please note that a fee will be charged for an extension.
4. Do I have to buy additional materials?
You should already have Microsoft Project 2016 installed on your computer before enrolling in this program. If you don’t already have Microsoft Project 2016, you will need to purchase it for the program.
5. Can I get financial assistance?
ed2go courses are non-credit courses, so they do not qualify for federal aid. In some states, vocational rehab or workforce development boards will pay for qualified students to take our courses. Additionally, some students may qualify for financial assistance when they enroll, if they meet certain requirements.
6. What happens when I complete the program?
Upon successful completion of the program, you will be awarded a certificate of completion.
7. Am I guaranteed a job?
ed2go programs will provide you with the skills you need to obtain an entry-level position in most cases. We don’t provide direct job placement services, but our facilitators and career counselors will help you build your resume and are available to give advice on finding your first job. Facilitators will also be available to use as a professional reference upon completion of the program. Potential students should always do research on the job market in their area before registering.
8. Who will be my instructor?
Each student is paired with a facilitator for one-on-one interaction. The facilitator will be available (via e-mail) to answer any questions you may have and to provide feedback on your performance. All of our facilitators are successful working professionals in the fields in which they teach.
9. What software or hardware do I need in order to take online programs and what are the system requirements?
In order to take our online programs, you must have access to a computer and the Internet. You can access the program contents from any Web-enabled computer. You don’t have to use the same computer to log-in to the program every time. We recommend that you have a word-processing program (Microsoft Word is best) and the latest version of Internet Explorer.
10. Can I use a Mac?
No, this program cannot be taken on a Mac.

Students may wish to sit for the PMP® certification exam. Students will need to arrange and pay for the tests independently from this program.
14. I’m new to project management, is this program the right fit for me?
No. This is considered an intermediate to advanced level program. You may find the Essentials of Project Management a better fit for you.
15. I have Microsoft Project 2013 (2010, etc.). Can I use that instead of 2016?
No. This is a hands-on course that calls out specific keystroke commands. In every version of Microsoft Project, new features and functions are added or removed and keystrokes will likely change. Additional compatibility issues may exist with using the provided practice files.
16. I have Microsoft Project 2016 Standard. Can I use that?
Yes. Although this program will also cover some features / functions that are only available in the Professional edition, you will be provided with references to those functions. The main difference is that you won’t be able to do the hands-on exercises associated with those functions.
17. Does this program prepare for a certification?
