For project managers, keeping up with the latest project management software and certifications is key to consistently delivering results. This course will prepare you for two industry-recognized PMI certifications: Certified Associate in Project Management® and Project Management Professional®.
You will be able to apply essential project management techniques, such as budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation, to increasingly complex projects. You will also learn how to automate scheduling with the most widely used project management software, Microsoft Project 2019.
This course meets the educational requirements for both the PMP® and CAPM® certifications.

This course has no prerequisites other than a basic knowledge of how to use a computer and the internet.
This course will prepare you to sit for the CAPM exam. To qualify for the exam, you must meet the following eligibility requirements:
- Secondary degree (high school diploma, associate degree or the global equivalent)
- 23 hours of project management education completed by the time you sit for the exam. (This course meets the education requirement.)
This course will also prepare you for the PMP Certification Exam. Student who wish to take the PMP Certification exam will need to meet one of the following sets of requirements to take the exam:
- A four-year degree
- 36 months of leading projects
- 35 hours of project management education/training or CAPM® Certification
— OR —
- A high school diploma or an associate degree (or global equivalent)
- 60 months of leading projects
- 35 hours of project management education/training or CAPM® Certification
Note: The requirements are only for taking the exam but not required to complete this online training. Students can complete this training and begin working as a project manager to gain experience in this field before taking the certification exams.

Yes. This course will prepare you for the Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)® and the Project Management Professional (PMP®) certification exam. You will need to set up your test and pay any fees required separately.

This course is open enrollment, so you can register and start the course as soon as you are ready. Access to your course can take 24-48 business hours.
4. How long does it take to complete this course?
This course is self-paced and open enrollment, so you can start when you want and finish at your own pace. When you register, you'll receive (12) months to complete the course.
5. What if I don't have enough time to complete the course within the time frame provided?
The time allotted for course completion has been calculated based on the number of course hours. However, if you are unable to complete the course, contact your Student Advisor to help you work out a suitable completion date. Please note that an extension fee may be charged.
6. What kind of support will I receive?
You may be assigned with an instructor or team of industry experts for one-on-one course interaction. Your support will be available (via e-mail) to answer any questions you may have and to provide feedback on your performance. All of our instructors are successful working professionals in the fields in which they teach. You will be assigned to an Advisor for academic support.
7. What happens when I complete the course?
Upon successful completion of the course, you will be awarded a Certificate of Completion.
8. Am I guaranteed a job?
This course will provide you with the skills you need to obtain an entry-level position in most cases. Potential students should always do research on the job market in their area before registering.
9. Can I get financial assistance?
ed2go courses are non-credit, so they do not qualify for federal aid, FAFSA and Pell Grant. In some states, vocational rehab or workforce development boards will pay for qualified students to take our courses.
