Specializing in Corrective Exercise with NASM can stretch your earning potential along with your clients' abilities to reduce the risk of injury—helping them move, feel, and live better. Becoming a Corrective Exercise Specialist will take your fitness career and ability to help your clients to new levels. During your Corrective exercise specialist certification training, you will learn how to assess clients in a whole new way. It will help you better identify their movement compensations, where they are weak or strong, and hone your ability to use that knowledge to design effective and efficient programs. This Corrective exercise certification course will take your ability to assess clients from generalized to specific, breaking assessments down into smaller, more in-depth pieces so you can identify different parts of the body in need of attention.

This NASM senior fitness certification course offers a comprehensive curriculum that covers the scope of practice and physical, psychological, and physiological considerations of aging. During this course, you will also dive into assessment strategies and program components for the older adult, program design, nutritional guidelines and considerations, and business development. Prerequisites:

There are no prerequisites for this course, although a personal trainer certification or a fitness specialization is recommended.

Certification Requirements:

There are no prerequisites. However, NASM recommends that Corrective Exercise Specialization (CES) candidates have one of the following:

A current NASM CPT certification
A current health and fitness certification accredited by NCCA, NBFE or DETC
REPs Level 3 or higher credential (candidates outside of the US only)
A 4-year collegiate degree
A current Licensed or Certified Massage Therapist credential
