In this course you will learn about the five functional areas, Business Management and Strategy, Workforce Planning and Employment, Human Resource Development, Compensation and Benefits, Employee and Labor Relations and Risk Management, that will prepare you for the Senior Professional Human Resources (SPHR) exam. The SPHR exam, or the SHRM-SCP exam, is critical if you are wanting to move up in Human Resources, as it measures your strategic ability and your ability to join HR processes into the big picture of the organization.
If you are already working in HR, this course will prepare you to move into higher levels such as becoming an HR Manager. Alternatively, if you've been out of HR for a while, this course will help refresh and prepare you to re-enter the field.

Prerequisites:
This course will prepare you to sit for the HRCI (Human Resources Certification Institute) SPHR exam. In order to qualify for the SPHR Certification, you must meet the following eligibility requirements:
- Have at least four years of experience in a professional-level HR position + a Masters degree or higher
- Have at least five years of experience in a professional-level HR position + a Bachelors degree
OR
- Have at least seven years of experience in a professional-level HR position + a high school diploma.
This course will also prepare you to sit for the SHRM (Society for Human Resources) SHRM-SCP exam. The qualifications to sit for this exam are:
- HR Related program + 6 years in HR role
OR
- 7 years in HR role with no HR related program
- HR Related Bachelors Degree + 4 years in HR role
OR
- Non-HR Bachelors Degree + 5 years in HR role
- HR Related Graduate Degree + 3 years in HR role
