The Complete Project Manager with CAPM® and PMP® Prep online training program provides you with a thorough understanding of project management from start to finish. You’ll start with a good foundation of project management concepts and terminology. You’ll then build on that foundation by taking a closer look at certain critical project management aspects in-depth. Material is presented sequentially as it would likely occur in actual projects. You’ll gain a thorough understanding of how to apply project management concepts, in addition to any specific variations between them. Key and critical topics are explored in depth as they are appropriate for a more intermediate and advanced level understanding.
This is combined program (“bundle”) consisting of the Essentials of Project Management and Mastering Project Management courses. This program is based on the current Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide), which establishes the international standard regarding the project management discipline. It aligns with PMI’s Talent Triangle® and is also eligible for Professional Development Units (PDUs) for PMP® or other project management certifications.
This program meets and exceeds the requirements for those interested in the Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) ® or PMP certifications. Students who are interested in earning the CAPM and PMP credentials must schedule and pay for the exams on their own after program completion.
OBJECTIVE
You will learn how to do the following tasks as they relate to the
essentials of project management:

- Be familiar with most common project management concepts
and terminology

In the Essentials of Project Management portion of the program, you’ll
gain a solid foundation of project management concepts and gain
familiarity of important terminology. This is essential for anyone who
is new to project management.
The Mastering Project Management portion of the program will help you
gain a better understanding of how to apply project management concepts
and make appropriate variations between them. You will learn more
advanced project management tasks, such as how to select projects and
develop strategies for them, how to create a complex schedule model,
and how to identify and assess any risks in the project. You’ll learn
about statusing and forecasting, in addition to project recovery
concepts, and project termination.

REQUIREMENTS
This program can be taken from either a Mac or a PC. It is compatible
with the Windows XP and later operating systems and IE 7 and later
browsers. There are no specific computer requirements other than an
Internet connection, e-mail account, Microsoft Word (for assignment
submissions), and Windows Media Player (which is available as a free
download). We recommend that you use the latest version of Internet
Explorer in place of other Web browsers.

PREREQUISITES
This program has no prerequisites other than a basic knowledge of how to use a computer and the internet.
This program will prepare you to sit for the CAPM exam. In order to qualify for the exam, you must meet the following eligibility requirements:

This program will prepare you to sit for the PMP exam. In order to qualify for the exam, you must meet the following eligibility requirements:
- 5 years of project management experience with 7,500 hours leading and directing projects

Nikki Choyce, PMP has been involved in the project management field for almost 20 years and has worked as a consultant and trainer for much of that time. She is a Project Management Professional (PMP) and very active in the project management community. She has worked in a variety of industries, including Information Technology, Insurance, Manufacturing, Marketing, Aerospace, Construction, and Telecommunications. She has worked with Microsoft Project for over 10 years.

1. Can I register for programs if I am an international student?
Yes, because ed2go programs are online you never have to actually travel to the school. Most schools offer telephone or online registration.
2. How long does it take to complete a program?
All of our programs are self-paced and open enrollment, so you can start them when you want and finish them at your own pace. When you register, you receive six (6) months to complete this program.
3. Do I have to buy additional materials?
No additional materials are required for this program.
4. Can I get financial assistance?
ed2go courses are non-credit courses, so they do not qualify for federal aid. In some states, vocational rehab or workforce development boards will pay for qualified students to take our courses. Additionally, some students may qualify for financial assistance when they enroll, if they meet certain requirements.
5. What happens when I complete the program?
Upon successful completion of the program, you will be awarded a certificate of completion.
6. Am I guaranteed a job?
ed2go programs will provide you with the skills you need to obtain an entry-level position in most cases. We don’t provide direct job placement services, but our facilitators and career counselors will help you build your resume and are available to give advice on finding your first job. Facilitators will also be available to use as a professional reference upon completion of the program. Potential students should always do research on the job market in their area before registering.
7. Who will be my instructor?
Each student is paired with a facilitator for one-on-one interaction. The facilitator will be available (via e-mail) to answer any questions you may have and to provide feedback on your performance. All of our facilitators are successful working professionals in the fields in which they teach.
8. What software or hardware do I need in order to take online programs and what are the system requirements?
In order to take our online programs, you must have access to a computer and the Internet. You can access the program contents from any Web-enabled computer. You don’t have to use the same computer to log-in to the program every time. We recommend that you have a word-processing program (Microsoft Word is best) and the latest version of Internet Explorer.

Students may wish to sit for the PMP® and CAPM® certification exams. Students will need to arrange and pay for the tests independently from this program.
13. I’m new to project management, is this program the right fit for me?
Yes. You will find that this program starts from the ground up laying a solid foundation of project management terminology and concepts. Then, after you gain a foundation, you will move on to mastering the concepts with a level of expertise that you can bring into the industry. You can even qualify to take national certifying exams when you complete the program.
14. What if I don't have enough time to complete my program within the time frame provided?
The time allotted to complete your program has been calculated based on the number of hours for each program, so don't worry too much about not completing in time. If, after a concerted effort, you are still unable to complete, your Student Advisor will help you work out a suitable completion date. Please note that a fee may be charged for an extension.
